I was waiting with 'bated breath' to see who would do this first.

See this is the problem I am concerned with.. Phil's link is clickable while GM yours is not... This is why I need to find a way for the forum to do it by default. As it can become a problem for a lot of folks and it will just open another can of worms that we really don't need at the moment... The site is finally running smoothly after quite sometime so I don't want to create new issues,if you know what I mean...

We are first and foremost a community and i would like to think that we are here to help others...To suggest that people have to offer $300 for asking a few questions is wrong and not what we are about here at the Altec User Board ! Now if you feel that someone has helped you and you want to donate to them either money or a gift is fine... But to post this would be and is wrong IMHO.. And I'm considering deleting it... GM who is a friend of mine who has helped me in the past with my dual woofer project, I sent him a gift (Pair of New Diaphragms From GPA) as I felt that was right thing to do..I just don't want people to think that they have to spend money to ask questions here or we will never have anyone asking for help here ever.

Hmm, for the record, I didn't understand what you meant by "Try changing the color of this link and you will get the hint..." since I was able to change it to blue, which worked, hence my response.

The red link OTOH was just a plain text copy to show red, so just now have made it a live link......does it work?

honestly anything can be a hyperlink.
take your sig pic for instance

    sigpic158705 15

    poof there it is

mostly when people do wrong it, it just shows up as text, wrong text, but just text. if you know what codes to type in it makes for a better post. some sites don't have code shortcuts or a limited amount of them. so i memorized quite a few when i modded a subforum a few years back.
